Adult, Child, and Adolescent psychotherapy in downtown Brooklyn.
Therapy with curiosity & creativity.
My clinical approach is grounded in the belief that curiosity, creativity, and connection are invaluable to understanding and coping with our most overwhelming experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Having a background in theater and music informs my holistic perspective on self-expression and I prioritize creating an inclusive therapeutic space, which is anti-oppressive and anti-racist, neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed, and gender and sexuality-affirming.
It is my belief that everyone deserves a collaborative and trusting relationship with a therapist who can offer warmth, consistency, and acceptance during the most isolating emotional experiences. I am psychodynamically oriented and I’ve received additional training in Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and child therapy. I have extensive experience with young adults and adolescents in both school-based and private practice settings as well as with children between the ages of 4-10.
As a clinician, my aim is to empower the adults and young people I work with to see their value when they are most insecure, to process the experiences that have caused them harm, to invite self-inquiry that sheds light on their innate resilience, and to offer ways of coping with their most destabilizing moments.
When not in sessions, I can be found playing banjo or walking my beloved pitbull.
